Arrow Recaps – February 2018

It’s time for another month recap! Each month, I go over on what I have done the for the month and keep track of my progress on goals. Let’s see how I have done for February.

Roar by Cora Carmack The Last Namsara by Kristen Ciccarelli The Final Six by Alexandra Monir

Dragon Bones by Lisa McMann Unplugged by Donna Freitas The Magicians by Lev Grossman Been Here All Along by Sandy Hall

I have read a total of 7 books! Honestly, I only thought I read 4 books this month. Seems like I forgot that I read a bit more books than I thought. I guess that makes it a good month! Overall, it has been a good month, but with a few mixed reactions as well.

Which books did I like the best for February? Of course, I have to list Dragon Bones from the Unwanted Quests series. It is from a favorite series of mine and its been a fun read. I also enjoyed read The Final Six as I didn’t expect it to like it so much. The ending was such a giant twist and it is already making me want the next book! Lastly, The Magicians definitely made an interesting finish for the month. It was quite a read and totally unexpected.

Did Not Finish:

Soulless (The Immortal Gene #1)

This month, I have only DNF’d a single book. Soulless was one of the older books in my Kindle from so long ago and I decided to start it. However, the interest I had in it back then didn’t stay with me all the time. I had to let it go.

I am now 12/51* Books and 4,525/23,000 Pages so far. That is a difference of 7 Books and 2,700 pages from last month.

5 of the books I have read this month were qualified for the Beat the Backlist Challenge now totally 9 books!

*Original goal was 50 books, but due to a part complete/part DNF book, I increased the goal to include this book and not count towards to goal at the same time.

Last month, I announced that I was bit behind reviews. Fortunately, with a lot of books read and an easier schedule for writing, I am way ahead for writing reviews. My review are already at mid-April! I am still going through details for my blog’s new design. I’m not much in a rush right now, but I plan to get everything done by August, KRF’s 1st Anniversary. However, I’ll still be making a small few changes every once in a while until then.

    1. It’s good! I enjoyed it. The review is coming out in 3 weeks and I ended up rating it 3.5 stars. I guess it depends you like stories involving dragons. I just like it enough to know that I want to keep reading it.
