Keith Nolan falls in love with a remarkable young woman from the past, talking to him on a home video she recorded in 1989. To keep their conversation going, he must find more of her tapes, while forces work against them both, and time is running out.

When A Different Time was brought to my attention, something grabbed my attention. Maybe that the story was dealing between two different characters during two different time periods, yet somehow are able to communicate to each other. I was mostly interested on how seemed to work. It seemed like such a good idea.

As I read the story, I quickly noticed things, specific details, on how this story may have gone towards the end. At first, I chose to toss aside all ideas since it was just at the beginning, but the details I saw earlier were just coming back to me. These details kept showing themselves to me that I kept wondering if it was just to easy or if I was just to good at picking up the details. Perhaps they were purposefully plotted there as well. I had ideas, but all I can say what I thought would happen did not happen in the book, but maybe afterwards.

One thing I took notice with was the romance. It felt a bit rushed, almost insta-love. For the purpose of the story, I understood it, but Keith’s first reaction after they first met was to find more of the tapes due to fact that she was special. My first thought would be to find more to understand how of all this was happening? Although weird at first, the relationship developed into something that made sense towards the end.

A Different Time, is a great, quick read. For what the story is, it is definitely worth reading. If you like a good romance, than this is for you. In my opinion, it is a good read with a good idea, I just believe it could of been executed a little bit better. Overall, a good story.
